Recognizing that detection of harmful or prohibited substances is the linchpin to America’s security at borders, ports, transportation hubs, and events. PBDK9’s training program is focused on explosives detection. With the capability to scan large crowds and traverse various locations and events with no interference to its occupants, canines provide superior detection and deterrence of explosives. When the substance is person-borne, the canine is able to assist law enforcement and security in mitigating the situation ahead of an incident. When the substance is hidden, the canine increases speed of locating and isolating of the substance to reduce risk to the public. These capabilities improve the security posture and deter or diffuse potentially hazardous and fatal incidents.
